Hello, been watching this site for years and always find good advice, so thought I should finally register and say hello properly to everyone. Live on a small farm in Scotland and after 10yrs of having regular brown layers I am trying to increase my flock to have more coloured egg layers.

Help. I have got 4 or 5 completely oval dark maran eggs to go in my incubator. I have candeled them but can’t see where air sac is so I have no way of knowing which is the “pointy” end. Not sure what to do, I thought I could put them in my incubator cradles on their sides, rather than vertically...
