One of my little Roos is doing the same thing. He also seems to be having a bit of balance issues. He just started it this morning. Is there anything I should give him that may help?
I have two black frizzle chicks that need a home. I have chosen my favs and now have to give away the rest. The babies are black with white tipped feathers. I live in Denver, near Aurora. These babes are coming on seven weeks old and I am pretty sure they are roosters, but still hard to tell.
Weird how the dad is white, the mom is red and all the babes r black right?? They are growing feathers in now, some are still all black, but some have feathers that go black to white to red. ugh genetics! so weird😮
The pic is of Jack btw :)
I have a roo already, but I fell in love with the new one and don’t want to let him go. (Kinda embarrassing but... 😊) I may have found a vet that will do the procedure! She is looking into it now.
Yes I have candled the eggs, I candled two of them the day before yesterday. One was alive the other was questionable. I am just worried they won’t hatch. I have read that candling the eggs too late can kill the embryo
Is it possible for the shell to be too hard? This particular has very hard egg shells, but I would think that chicks are adapted to opening hard shells with their tooth. Right?
My bantam hen is sitting on her eggs. Today is day 21 and there are still no pips! 😨 Are the chicks dead? Or are they just slow?
I live in Denver CO so it is around 95 degrees every day. Is it possible for the chicks to overheat or will the mother keep them at a regulated temperature?
