How old are they? They do look like roos to me. They have visible comb and their crest are very roo-like. Also I am seeing streamer feathers growing.

Posture-wise they both look like pullets to me. PS: I do now see the black one seemed to have a bigger beak and the leg feathers have more of a puff to it than the gray one. So I am leaning more roo to the black one.

I am leaning towards roo because the comb is kind of big for 8 to 9 weeks. Hens usually have a more rounded crest. Yours look like there may be streamers growing. The beak also look a bit masculine to me.
