    What kind of tiny bantams?

Maybe they were Old English Game bantams. I have some and they are tiny little birds.

    Show me your quail pens!!!

My husband built this pen for my 12 bobwhites hatched in the incubator. Hard ware cloth on front and bottom, plenty of room for the heat lamps.

We harvested 2 guinea fowl today, as I thought laying season was over. (haven't had an egg in over a week) Inside one we found this: She was really a day late on this one.

Well, finally happened--Cooper hawk --Up dated 9-17 page 3

What kind of gamecock are you guys referring to? I just lost my little peacock and an RP poult to a red-tail hawk. I did hear my guinea flock raising the alarm, but by the time I saw the hawk he'd already made his kill. I took my chick away from him. The hawk came late in the evening for the...

too young for the mating game

I posted Yankee's pic on the Peafowl forum and responses said he was a peachick. I had suspected so. Even though I bought him thinking he was a RP turkey, I'm very glad to have a peachick. His adoptive EE mom is taking good care of him, along with his RP pseudo siblings. Can peacocks and turkeys...

    Yankee,RP poult or peachick

I bought him at an auction approximately 6 wks ago. He was in a box with 2 other white chicks marked Royal Palm. Those two are definitely Royal Palm poults. I thought it was odd that he wasn't getting any black feathers. I refer to Yankee as him because I've seen him attempt to mate one of the...

    Yankee,RP poult or peachick

I posted this on the Turkey forum, the funky feathers on his head look weird. My husband thinks he's a peachick. He's supposed to be a Royal Palm turkey. Pics of Yankee, whatever he may be. [

too young for the mating game

No, he doesn't have a snood, and I'm not sure of his age, but I've had him for approximately 6 weeks. I got him at an auction. He has no black feathers yet, odd because all the others do. I think he's male because I've seen him hop on top of one of the other turkeys twice now. I'll post a...

    Gobbling Turkeys

I have 2 Royal Palm toms approximately 3 months old that started gobbling over 3 weeks ago.

too young for the mating game

First pic is my EE hen with her adopted Royal Palm poults. Second pic is the smallest RP poult (Yankee) that hopped on the largest poult (in the first pic), grabbed her by the back of the head and attempted to mate with her. I'm assuming the largest one is female. Two days later my 9-week-old...

    sick turkey poults!

The two poults died this evening. The third one appears seems to be holding his own for the moment. I did give him a little more pedialyte. I have seen him drink. I didn't have any problem with my other 6 poults. Hopefully this one will make it. I have him with my peachicks right now, they eat...

    sick turkey poults!

I got 3 turkey poults Tuesday and today two of them can hardly walk and are very lethargic, only opening eyes briefly. At one point one of them was shivering. They are in a brooder under the heat lamp. I got a little pedialyte into them, but they don't look good. They were fine yesterday. I have...

    The Skunk...... IS BACK!!!!

I've heard that if you use a live trap (hav-a-hart) that's covered, the skunk won't spray. Then you could take him elsewhere to rid yourself of him.

    ameraucana Questions

I have 2 EE hens that lay 5-6 eggs per week. That is until one went broody, but her eggs didn't hatch, so she adopted my 3 and 4 week-old Royal Palm turkeys. She's not overly friendly but takes good care of the little turkeys.
