Does my hen have sour crop?

Thank you so much for all your help. Yesterday I was able to start deworming her and today her crop has been significantly less bloated and filled with liquid. I have noticed a decrease in energy, but since she is still eating and drinking, I am going to assume this is most likely due to being...

Does my hen have sour crop?

Ah that makes sense. Was a little confused because some of the were my medication was marked as medicated and others weren't and was a little worried that there was extra medication that could be potentially harmful. Would you recommend a withdrawal. For eggs, after starting the wormer? I see...

Does my hen have sour crop?

Is there a specific safeguard? I am assuming the multi-species is best for chickens? Does it matter if it is medicated? Thanks for all the help. Would this work? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HHSAUI/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Does my hen have sour crop?

I have not given her any wormer. I did some digging and it doesn't look like there's any official wormer for chickens, correct? Do you have any recommendations for a wormer? Particularly one on the cheaper side as I am trying to finish up my bachelor's degree is summer and currently drowning in...

Does my hen have sour crop?

Here's a bit of an update: was able to start treatment on Wednesday which means that I've given her 2 and 1/2 days of monistat. Yesterday morning I noticed she had green stringy, almost pellet-like poop. This morning when I checked on her she had very large but somewhat normal looking poop...

Does my hen have sour crop?

I was able to pick her up from my grandparents and start treatment yesterday. On top of the monistat I have been giving her some coconut oil to hopefully help with any potential blockage. I noticed that last night her poop was stringy and green, and I am not sure if that's normal? Today it has...

Does my hen have sour crop?

The tricky part is the birds live at my grandparents house. We got them as a 4-H project and used it for bonding time with my grandfather, and because at the time the local law prohibited keeping chickens were I lived. My grandfather says he gets three eggs a week from that coop, so she could...

Does my hen have sour crop?

Today I noticed that my older Ameraucana hen (4yrs) had a full and squishy crop as if it was filled with a liquid. Her coop is currently being treated for a lice infestation After I dusted her when I picked her up she regurgitated a brown sludge looking liquid. Am I correct in assuming that this...

    Chicken Can't Stand

I am not 100% sure when her last egg was, but it has been a couple months at least. I am located in the southern Maryland area. The weekend we took the birds to the fair when she collapsed the heat index was 115, but since then it hasn't been overly hot or humid. I think the stress of the fair...

    Chicken Can't Stand

I have a four year old Golden Comet hen who my brother took to the county fair a few weeks ago. While she was there she collapsed and since has not been able to stand up. She has lost a lot of weight. During the first few days after bringing her home she refused to eat or drink, however since...

Top Layer of Beak Pealed Back

I found my black Ameruacana today with the top layer of her break pealed back. I do not know how it happened, but I am a little concerned about her ability to eat. She seem to be perky, but she is kept with two other birds, so I'm also concerned about those two picking at her beak. Any...

Ameraucana isn't growing her beard back

The last picture is the most recent. She is with six other hens including and Easter Egger who we have no problems with her beard, however she is also higher up in the peaking order. All of our birds receive layer pellets, whoever I have noticed in the past her beard wet is prone to food sticking.

Ameraucana isn't growing her beard back

I have a purebred Ameraucana hen who will be two in march. She molted sometime in the spring and her beard has not grown back. She does not show any signs of new feathers, and I have not seen and picking going on, although that still could be the case. Does anyone have any experience with this...
