Well my situation changed greatly yesturday. The girls were out in the yard for a couple hours and something (a fox I suspect) came thru and got at least 2 out of the 8 hens. I found 2 large spots of feathers with a trails to the woods. 2 came back last night before dark and 4 are still missing...

I dont think so, I saw one of them molting and it doesnt look the same. they have large patchs pulled out, almost like they are plucking them. Maybe it is fighting but I just dont see them fight. I will post a picture tomorrow night. Thanks for replying
