Advice needed on chick late hatch

Thank you for the links. I have some beautiful chicks from the hatch. The ones that I had trouble with were the Araucana eggs. I do have a double tufted rooster and that may have been part of the issue with the egg. I noticed a few babies have white hair tufts on one side of their face.

Advice needed on chick late hatch

I culled her. She was suffering. I don’t know why this one egg was different. 8 hatched successfully on Friday. I tried to move the eggs around in the incubator when I candled two different times to avoid any being in the corners of the incubator. For some reason this one egg failed to thrive.

    Can eggs carry bird flu?

I remember when my horses had gotten sick with a contagious illness my vet recommended spraying the stall with one half cup bleach to one gallon of water and let it dry to kill the virus. I am sure that would help if you had an outbreak.
