    It has their normal roll-away paint tray with a fake grass pad and then a nesting pad on top of that (they like to hollow that out to make it nice and cozy!). So no, no sharp edges.

    Well, it was laid in the nesting box in the heated garage, so that’s not a possibility. And it was still slightly warm when I found it.

    My Buff Orpington laid a “fractured” egg today - she’s never done this before, but it’s been unusually cold here, so much so that I brought the girls into our heated garage temporarily. Could it be from the stress of the move? The other girls are laying their usual eggs.
