I thought it could be because she is hot. This chick is a lot bigger and stronger than the 2 other chicks her age. i got all my current chicks a week or so apart from each other so since I noticed the biggers ones were stepping on and hurting the tiny and younger ones I split them up into two...
I had recently gotten 6 chicks, now 5. 3 different breeds in pairs. Because the breeds i wanted were very specific, i got all my pairs 2 or so weeks apart which meant once i got another pair, the other chicks would already be a lot bigger than them but i kept them in a brooder together. When I...
I have one baby chick that's pretty serious about trying to jump out of their little house. She's only almost 2 1/2 weeks old. She's always trying to peak over the top then does a big run, jump, flap. She's gotta pretty close a few times. What's up with that?

i'm sorry about your baby chicks. Mine all seem to be doing pretty good and i hope nothing is wrong with my chick. We got them about 4 days ago after one of our older chickens got sick and passed away. Best of luck for you and all your future chicken adventures :)
Thanks, she does seem to calm down after a few seconds of holding her and she'll stop chirping for awhile after i put her down so maybe you're right about her just wanting a little attention.
I have 6 baby chicks around 2 weeks old but one chick won't stop chirping. All the other chicks have soft lower chirps when they're relaxed but this one has a loud consistent chirp which won't seem to stop. I checked her butt but it isn't pasty or clogged up. Could something be wrong with her?
