I plan on putting my eggs into lockdown tonight so I’ll be candling them. When I moved them to my other incububator yesterday though they ALL still looked GREAT!! I’m so excited. They are bantam eggs and I put them in the 14th. So they SHOULD hatch the 1st or 2nd
I have so many 🤣 the eggs for this that I set, are mostly all bantams eggs. In the size category and whos eggs these may be: bantam RIR, Creole game bantam, EE Bantam. Maybe possibly also Serama, Bantam barred rock, frizzle serama, bantam Cochin. I have no idea who’s eggs these are I just...
I got these two about three weeks ago as 13 wk old hens One has long solid black with white trimmed feathers and the other has short fluffier mottled feathers on its tail I already have a dominant rooster and don’t wanna wait till fights start Is there anything that’s a dead give away...
Is this a male silver laced Wyandotte? Or is it another breed? It’s not looking like my other Wyandottes . We got them as pullets from TSC which ok i know isn’t the best with sexing. But just noticed it was growing feathers in later and darker. It’s like a black chipmunk with white stripes...
I have three each! Rehoming fee to make sure they go to a good home. They are hand tame and will sit on your lap and shoulders. Very sweet birds not human aggressive. They were hatched April 14th located in metro Atlanta.
I swear this time was my husbands fault. He begged me for these cuties!! Does anyone have ideas on breed? I’m guessing they are around 6 days old?
We have 5 bantams none have feathered legs.
2 reddish brown ones with red tipped beaks.
1 I think is an oegb bantam?
1 yellow and grey one
And...
First time Chicken and duck mom. I started off with a tote village and then got the XXL kennel. I had 6 from TSC and then 9 I hatched myself. So the hatchling floofs started off alone and then I merged them all in the xxl kennel at two and three/four weeks. I still have ducks in a tote but they...
The last pipper died while I went out for an hour and I candled the last and it had a huge air cell on the side. It was a maran egg so I had, had trouble candling it to start. I started with 6 maran eggs and only 1 hatched. I started with 7 Easter egger,7 olive egger abd the 6 maran . So I’m...
The grab and plop method is a lot of fun hahahha. I have two left in. one pipping snd then I think the very last won’t hatch. Makes me wanna mess with it but o gotta keep my hands out 🤣
I have newly hatched floofs on puppy pads as well right now and am planning to switch them to pine at 1 week then mix hemp and pine for a little bit. It feel like that works well too
eventually I’ll merge the 2 week olds and hatchlings. 😬
I changed from pine savings to hemp at 1 week. They did eat the fibers and their crops got big and hard, but I provided some starter grit in their crumble and it helped them process it. Now they don’t eat it as much since they are used to it.
So far I have 10 out of 13 little fluffs!! 4 Easter egger. 4 olive eggers and 1 little Maran. The two other eggs I’m waiting on are the marans. And Iv heard they take a little longer.
