Hi @Wyorp Rock , thanks for the response! Okay I will dose for couple more days (wasn't sure if that was okay). And THANK YOU for telling me that the ND won't help with the leg issue.. I will buy b complex supplement today and crush and directly feed the chicken (mixed with water or something...
I fed one of my limpy leg chicken 1ml of ND today. Did you do the direct feed four times in a row each day? I wasn't sure how often I should do. How many times did you end up direct feeding ND? And how is the chicken doing?
I’m sorry to hear that. Mine passed away the day I posted. It was very sad. She had foams on her eyes couple months ago and treated her with tylan. I thought she got better and then suddenly this happened.
my welbar is doing something similar. ~5 months old, not laying yet. purple comb on back side, but not on the front side. she is not eating or drinking. just laying on the ground and panting with her beak open. one difference is that she is super slow. walks super slow and doesn't try to run...
Hi Guys,
Another update on the BCMs!
It's been about two weeks since the pictures in the older post. First one is Colette (same chick from the older post), and the other one is Jeannette, who we got later after realizing our wheaten marans was a boy.
These ladies are growing FAST. I can't...
Well I reached out to the breeder I bought from and she gave me two pullets! One olive egger and another BCM. This one doesn’t have feathers on its legs and is a bit more scrappy looking though.
I will share more pictures next week on both BCMs!
Hello,
I started to noticed one of my chicks pooping watery liquid (more of dripping). I saw her poop as well in the later day so I was less concerned. This morning I checked her butt and it’s very wet and concerning. Based on initial googling it seems like she may have what’s called vent...
I know this is a BCM thread but question on my wheaten copper marans. Is this a pullet or a cockerel? I thought pullet but it had been developing its comb a lot.. age is the same as my BCM
Wow thank you for such an in-depth feedback @Chooks man . She also has a great temperament ☺️. Hopefully she lays beautiful dark brown eggs. I will continue to share her as she gets more developed.
Cool I’ll buy both at Home Depot.
It was an electric miter saw lol. He used a string to cut it first but 1. It wasn’t straight and 2. It melted back together.
Used miter next but the angle was really difficult to hold it steady
So I had my friend help cut it since he has a miter saw and it didn’t go as well as I had hoped lol.
I am planning on using the cut piece to lock the pipe from the outside to help it not move. However, I am concerned about the jaggedness and how it could scratch my chicks. Any recommendation on...
Actually I think I need to cut the thick part because if not the hole will be almost in the middle of the bucket. What’s the best saw to cut it clean? Miter saw?
hi guys, here is an update on the BCM pullet 10 days after. It's crazy how big chicks get each day. replying based on the original post to show the comparison!
again, any feedback on the pullet would be appreciated.
Hello,
I really like this idea. If I use this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/NIBCO-3-in-PVC-DWV-90-Degree-Spigot-x-Hub-Street-Elbow-C48072HD3/100347226#overlay
Will I have to cut the PVC? Or can I just insert this in a 5 gallon bucket after cutting with the 3 1/8 hole saw?
