    Moldy Egg?

How long did it take for him to pass after he aspirated? Asking because I’m trying to find answers to something I just went through with a duckling about a week old.

Duckling may have sour crop or aspirated

What happened with this baby? I brought home some week old ducklings, and one of them was doing something pretty similar to what yours is in this video. I thought he was choking and I dipped him in water and then I thought I might actually have ended up, drowning him, so I turned him upside down...

Don't know if my duck egg is alive. HELP!

Idk when you posted this but the egg was just fine. 🥰

2 week old chick labored breathing, gasping, lethargy

First of all, thank you for bringing this baby home. Second, it is not an uncommon practice for babies to be shipped from hatcheries with no food or water in the box. Many of them do not survive the transport. It is very common for the ones who do to be weak and lethargic. I am guessing some...

Help please! My hen has a large hole under vent, no signs of flystrike.

I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine having to make that decision for one of my feathers. It’s hard enough for my fur babies. My feathers are even more dear to me. I do think you made the right decision though, and if you learned something from it then it was not in vain. 🥺

We've been adopted by an old stray hen.

She might be older and no longer producing but she clearly needs you. 🥰 She cam still eat bugs and watch over/teach the littles. 100% yes! Keep the sweet girl! 🐓💕

Help please! My hen has a large hole under vent, no signs of flystrike.

I’m no expert in m chickens but I am an expert on human wounds. This looks like it was possible an ebscess at one time? Either way it’s definitely an infection and the Epsom salt baths are great. I would also get chlorhexadine (off Amazon). Dilute it in water and spray it in her after her baths...

Weird looking bill, unsure if it’s infection or just injury from foraging around the yard (sticks, branches, rocks)

This almost looks fungal. Did you get it figured out? Trying to learn. 🥰

    Weird Bill Growth

That is not discharge around her eyes. I have to keep the feathers shaved so they do not grow into her sunken eye socket. UPDATE: The vet agrees with me it’s likely keratin overgrowth. We think it might have to do with her molting (for the first time). It doesn’t seem to have grown. We measured...

UPDATE: The vet agrees with me it’s likely keratin overgrowth. We think it might have to do with her molting (for the first time). It doesn’t seem to have grown. We measured it but no way to know if it’s growing inside without symptoms so we are currently monitoring her. I feel in my spirit...
