I’m not home right now so I’ll have to check about the webbing later. I looked back at older pictures of her to see if she has always had this or if it’s a new problem, and it looks like the toe used to be on the back. Do you know what maybe could have caused the leg to degenerate and if there...
Thanks for helping, I’m pretty sure you thought I ment the little ball thing on her leg, but I was asking about if it was normal for her 4th toe to be on the side instead of the back. I appreciate the help though. 👍
I’ve had to post a couple times about this chick, and this one kind of has something to do with the last one. My 7 week old Rhode Island Red has been running weird and I think she has VVD. Tonight my little brother noticed that all the other chickens have 3 toes in the front and one in the back...
My mom says she doesn’t think the leg is broken, but I think she’d take her to a vet if there was a way I could see if it is. Is there any way I can check if it’s broken myself?
It looks like it may be at the joint, but I’m not sure. How would I check for a slipped tendon? She had coccidiosis a few weeks ago that stunted her growth, so she’s still pretty small, but kind of fat which I read is one of the causes of VVD.
I’m not sure how long she’s had that problem, I noticed it when I took her out to the coop where she had a lot more room to run around. I looked it up and some of the pictures looked like what my chick has. Is there anything I need to do about it?
My seven week old Rhode Island Red has one leg that goes farther out past her body and curves in at the joint. When she runs the leg bends inward almost like it can’t support her weight. Is there something wrong with her?
My 3 week old Rhode Island Red was the biggest chicken when I got her, but now she is the smallest. She doesn’t move around as much as my other chicks and constantly falls asleep. Whenever she is around the other chickens she huddles under them. She also has reddish orange poop. Is there...
I heard you could sex barred rocks by their pattern. Mine is also twice the size of my Rhode Island Red, which is also two weeks. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is rooster or not?
