Yes I do have a breeding pair 😊 intentionally bought a roo and they threw in an extra at shipping, my boy has nice red waddles coming in along with his red comb and my hen does not have any waddles yet and her comb is much more dull (kina grayish) I was super excited when I realized it!

    Wyandottes not feathering in

I have 16 chicks of which 2 are wyandottes and they have no where Neal the amount of feathers that the others have (RIR, Australorps, and EE) and they're all the same age.... Is this normal? 1st 3 pics are my wyandottes and the last picture is the others for comparison. They're all 3.5 weeks old

    Nipple training baby chicks

Mine are almost 3 weeks but they've only used the trough type. Would I need to use a gravity nipple 1st then move to the horizontal ones?

Thank you. I did not have my dropper that far back 😬 I tried but then she would start yanking her head around so I thought I was too far. At any rate it is what it is. I've learnt from this and if it happens again in the future I will know what to do and what not to do. It is a lesson for my...

    Baby chick with hurt leg

I just got home from work and noticed a good size lump on my gimpy chick's right foot! This could have been there and just gotten worse to where it is now visible. It's always something else however whatever caused this lump could be why her foot seems a bit more painful than it has been. If it...

    Baby chick with hurt leg

I have looked it over, no visible injuries. She goes back and forth from favoring one to favoring the other. If she had taken a fall or was dropped it wouldn't have been from a very high height as we were holding at a safe height inside the brooder. When straightening out the legs she will chirp...
