    Can somebody expain Diatomaceous Earth?

    i am new to chickens but i thought it is used in the chicken's dust bin. BUT i was told that it is dangerous to inhale the dust. I myself use First Saturday Lime and DE and then put pine shavings for my coop floor. But it does get dusty so i use a mask. I think i should have used DE sparingly...

    Aloha! i live in Hawii and I just renovated my aviary into a chicken coop. it has 4 stalls 4 ft wide and 10 fee deep. 2 of the stalls [took of the door between the 2 stalls] are for my 2 barred rock chickens, Salt and Pepper. the 3rd stall are for 12 jumbo coturnix quails that i just purchased...
