Too funny! I’ve named the white one Sebastian Bach (80’s rock band skid row lead singer who was so pretty he almost looked like a girl! Lol) lol all my chicks are named after musicians !
So far all the boys are sweet and love me… want me to pet and hold them- attention hogs really! As long as they stay sweet I’m cool with them and as long as they don’t wear out my girl’s too bad; they all can stay. We will just have to watch them. The cockerels are so pretty in this breed!
I thought they were only being bred in Europe - I researched this breed for a bit before deciding on it- think there’s an Ermine and Black Faverolles too. But they are way rare - if he keeps all his white , he will be cool! I’m happy to have him no matter what! ❤️
I had to google this one- never heard of it! The pics online show day old chicks as white also- this one was definitely yellow until real feathers started coming in.

I googled white duccle and they seem to be all white as day old chicks too- this one was definitely more yellow like the rest of them and only popped white feathers as it aged. Maybe it’s just a mutt lol.
I’m going to count toes again in the morning. I checked all of their feet when they were brand new but I think I had to have missed counted or something.
Hi! So I have 15 salmon Faverolles chicks from a local hatchery. They are five weeks old now. Thought I had 5 boys and 10 girls a week ago… now wondering if “Blondie” may be a boy even though she/he is all white. Look at that comb!?!? Or possibly not even a Faverolles at all? Any clue?
Gotcha. Ok. I’ve been reading that hatchery chick standards are lacking quite a bit. So when these guys and gals grow up, I’ll share their feathering and see if any are up to snuff on standards. My daughter is in 4H poultry program so we are hoping for a pullet and maybe a cockerel to show if...
