    Hi DaisyBuff, Flystrike seems to be a nasty thing for the hen. Please don't give up try your best to remove them all from under the skin and all your effort will not be wasted. You will be satisfied when your hen looks healthy again.🙏

    Sometimes its better to purchase over two weeks chicks. They seem to gain more strength and thrive better when with their mother hen. I found out the hard way when I lost more than 14 chicks

I was trying to raise the chicks myself with a heater cause the two hens were fighting a lot. when the other hen escaped from the chicken coop I took her to the laundry where I had all the chicks.     That's great! Sometimes they reject them so its better to be around and watch what happens.

    Hatching baby chicks

    Should just leave the eggs alone and count them each day. When she has laid all the eggs she will start sitting on them. After 21 days the eggs should all hatch and maybe one or two which may not hatch so you can throw away.
