Yesterday's wind had the pigeons (aka rock doves) perching on their roof rather than the powerlines
Walking Sherlock today, found Pear and Cumulo out in the grass near the rose patch....ladies, are you bug hunting or hidden nest hunting?
BTW, Sherlock totally ignored them inspite of them being...
Porcelain D'uccle is a very real possibility (and is lavender, washing over the red to get the pale tone, I think). Is that Pearl on the left? Feathered feet?
Things 1 & 2 are golden laced while Angel's companion is silver laced. Sebrights come in both and bantam wyandottes...
No idea on Angel....yet...
Pearl could be a lavender orpington...has the white skin under the leg wash.
Well done on saving the babies!

Glad it's the feeling better sort of pain. Sorry you're hurting, though. Had a sibling end up on a mostly liquid diet a few years ago due to jaw surgery. It had to be wired shut, so ZERO chewing. My sympathies to you and turning soup into smoothies at...
Have they started laying yet? Egg color may help. Shape wise, they make me think of Wheaten Marans, but most Marans have white skin, not yellow. Dunno if wheaten match that or not. They could be Eggers of some sort (no color standard for most of those) or a Ranger....
They do like the curtains. I haven't gotten curtains up on the lower bank, yet. Every time I moved a curtain so I could get the pic, they screamed at me. When I dropped the curtains back down, they screamed at me again. Basically, it was, "DON'T COME NEAR ME!!!! AAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!"

Feathered feet are not exclusive to brahmas. Silkies, cochins, sultans, langshans, faverolles, and French marans all have feathered feet. Any bird that is part one of those breeds CAN (but not guaranteed) also have feathered feet.
Brahmas have a pea comb, silkies a walnut comb (many of the...
Mugs bank
yes, I got yelled at for opening the curtains
Top row: Belladonna, Lark, Kate
Bottom row: Daisy, Cumulo, Violet
I got yelled at again for closing the curtains
I saw part of the breast and the BUTT with talons holding something red. It skimmed the ground AWAY from me. Head shape/body size...I got NOTHING to help with that.
The Sandhills were calling...with a pair farther off answering.
Also, the curlews are back. Saw a fox bebopping along the creek overflow ditch the other day so am taking Sherlock along the main directions the fox has tried to come in for scent marking. Yesterday morning, he ran through a wide...
