I got these on clearance at Rural King for 50 cents a piece last month. I believe they’re 5-6 weeks old now. Sold as Easter egger pullets, but we know how that goes. I think #3 might be a cockerel, he’s bigger than the others, a little more pink in the comb, and small reddish waddles starting. I...
First picture was taken 4 weeks and 2 days ago; the day I got this “silver laced Wyandotte pullet”. Second photo is today, I’m guessing 4.5ish weeks old. Is my pullet a cockerel?
I got 2 Rhode Island Red pullets a week & a half ago from Rural King’s clearance bins. I had been eyeing them for a little while, and I think they were there at least 2 weeks before I got them, so I estimate they’re 3.5-4.5 weeks old maybe. Anyway, I noticed 1 was hobbling around, not bearing...
I picked up a few chicks at Rural King tonight. These were both in the Silver Laced Wyandotte Pullet bin... the first photo, I believe that is a SLW; however, the second chick (last 3 photos) is much darker. Not much lace look, and the color that does come through seems more brown than white...
I am over the moon! I’m so excited for my second one to start laying. I have 2 white leghorns and 2 barred rocks. I got them 17 weeks ago, so they’re just a little older than that.
I bought 4 straight run ameraucanas from tractor supply 16 1/2 weeks ago. 3 are cockerels, and I’ve been holding onto hope that this last one is a hen... but now, I’m not so sure. Also, is this actually an Easter egger?
Leghorns, barred rock, and some “ameraucana” (although after some research, they might be Easter eggers)
Here you’ll see one of my leghorns and one of my barred rocks!
