    Hot weather prepare

    I too have been putting ice in the waterer when the chickens appear hot. Usually above 90. This has really helped them. Egg production increased and they are genuinely less stressed. Also they have ample shade.

    WalMart is not to be trusted anymore. They play games with sales on line. They advertise a great price but when you go to checkout the item is not available. However the item is available in the store for a much higher price. Mr Walton is probably turning over in his grave.

    How to get my hens to lay faster

    I don't think there is anything that can be done to speed up the biological process that they are going through. Just feed them quality food and clean water and nature will take its course.

    I usually treat them with some blueberries. They also like peas and carrots. Recently baby spinach. I try to keep it on the healthy side. In the evening a little scratch which is bird seed from Tractor Supply.

    Help! Frostbite taking over my hens feet

    When the foot is black there is no circulation. The foot will not heal. If that were my chick unfortunately I would euthanize her :(
