No. I walked around their coop and tried to follow them to see where she might had gotten caught up. We have 4 acres they free range. I’m praying she got hurt around the bushes
I did some research and found several people talking about using deer fencing over the 1/4 hardware cloth.
Apparently snakes can’t climb it and if they try they get tangled up in it.
So now I’ve begun to do the same thing around both my coops and runs. I also have 1/4 hardware on the floors.
2 of my boys (silkies) are a 1 year old and 1 silkie is 13 weeks (just finding his voice) 🤣 the ameraucana is 10 weeks.
I have 2 silkies that are 1 and a silkie that is 13 weeks… just finding his voice. My ameraucana is 16 weeks.
Smokie (the black silkie) is with my 4 teen hens and Snowball is...
I have 2 silkie roosters…. Actually 3 since one of my two silkie hens have turned out to be a rooster. I also got two Ameraucana hens and again one is a rooster.
So now I have four roosters and six hens.
nit sure what I’m gonna do since the three silkie roosters are very loving.
Thank you!!
I did catch my silkie rooster pulling at her comb. So this must be from that.
Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t Fowl pox. I’m only into my 4 month of having my backyard flock. Just learning as much as I can.
