Morning all - well its morning here in Australia.
I have a lovely pair of Grey turkeys - I think you call them slate.
Mummy turkey - her name is Donkey - has just successfully hatched 10 gorgeous poults.
Can you tell what colour they will be as poults or do they need to kind of fluff out a bit...
Awesome, thanks for that. I am guessing that the Polish and the blue chick are cross with Araucana as the lady I got them from did have some of them as well. Having said that, she also had some of the Cream Legbar going by her photos LOL. So I guess they really could be anything.....
I think...
Um - I don't know what either of those breeds are so now I am super confused.
The lady I got it from said something about a Polish Frizzle - but as I said, I have no idea really. But she has laid 6 eggs and they are a pale blue in colour.
I am 99% sure it is the Black Frizzle type. I tried to google and there aren't many chicks that lay blue eggs. Apparently the Araucana does so maybe the black frizzle type has that breed mixed in.
I have 4 in the incubator and there are 2 in the chick house so I guess I just have to wait and...
And now I am even more confused, because either the Black Frizzle one or the Grey one has laid eggs and they are blue in colour.....
I have SOOOOO much to learn LOL
Ah ha! Thank you for that. I get so confused between Pekin, Silkie, Bantam, Cochin. I dont know the difference between them all. I will have to get on google!
Hi Guys,
I am a newbie and I have just got these beautiful chicks.
I am not sure what bred they are so I am hoping someone on here can help me out :)
Not very good photos of the last two - but best I have on my phone right now.
I think they may be crosses... but i have no idea LOL
I took it out very quickly and there doesnt appear to be movement. It is still quite damp. I dont know if if you pull all the shell off or just leave it for a little while :(
Nothing with the other eggs unfortunately. Thinking I may have lost this lot. But Mumma Turkey is currently sitting...
Hi,
I have never incubated eggs before and I have woken up this morning to the following. Nothing has changed since this morning - 6+ hours.
Should I be panicking??
Should I do anything??
Hi all,
I woke up this morning to my turkey egg pipped - looks like it started to zip. I have no idea - first time ever incubating.
Should I leave it?
Should I still see movement?
How long should this take?
Panicked newbie here.
Thanks :)
Now I just need to find an incubator that works properly :(
Hopefully people will respond to my post and be able to guide me in the right direction
