    The two that are laying, one is a Plymouth Rock and I think the other is a Sapphire Gem. The Orpington, Rhode Island Red and two Polish are not.

    Okay, I may have to separate him for a while then. They seem to want nothing to do with him right now. Should I be worried about him being in the coop with them at night as well?

    I do think some of it is mating behavior, but then he'll chase after them, pin their head down and bite their neck. He isn't mounting them.

    Is this a hen or rooster? And is the breed an Easter egger?

    That's what I was thinking. I've read that it just takes a while for the spurs to show up. And am I correct in that this breed doesn't get the waddle?
