They are all 12 weeks. This guy is a terror. Constantly being mean, jumping on, chasing, pecking the others. We aren’t allowed to have roosters so as soon as I’m 100% sure he is one I am going to find him a new home. What do you think? Is there any doubt? He’s a blue Orpington.
She/he was way slower to feather than the others, and now is bigger, has more feathers, longer tail, and has been jumping and pecking all of the others. They run away from him all the time. They are all 10 weeks. I’m just waiting for confirmation that he is a cockerel before I find him a new...
A have a hen who is continually picking and eating the neck feathers of the other chickens. I’ve increased protein a lot, they have plenty of space in the run, they free roam for hours each day, they have lots of distractions in the run, I even tried spraying butter apple spray on the girls...
I have 2 blue Orpingtons (almost 10 weeks) with very different faces. Is the one on the right a male? As far as I can tell they have the same feather development.
I have 5 buff brahmas. One got its earlobe injured and has been in a dog crate within the run for 8 days now (except at night to roost). I do let her mingle with the other 4 when they are free ranging for 1-2 hours per day. But this hen, the injured one, is being so mean! Mainly to one, she...
I have 5 Brahmas all 6 months old. One had blood drawn today and I’m not sure how, but another chicken noticed it (possibly caused it, but she’s not a bully) and got the taste of blood all on her beak. I took the injured one inside and cleaned and put blu kote on it (gentian violet), let it dry...
Hello! New to the forum, and new to chickens. We have 5 buff Brahmas, almost 11 weeks old. Suppose to all be hens but you know how that goes. I’m just curious if any show any roo traits? We love them so much and would be heartbroken to part with any of them. Our city doesn’t allow roosters...
