Chicken not eating/drinking after worm treatment.

My hen started to act weirdly (separate from flock, head pulled in, high stepping) about a week ago. I separated her and brought her in (I can't keep her separated and safe from predators outside). When I treated her for worms there were adult roundworms in her poop. Since then she's just not...

Help! Chicken high stepping and walking very slowly.

Thank you! They get flubenvet every month! And vermex/harkers in their water. It's the first time in over a year they've picked anything up; so strange. I'll start adding DE into the mix, thanks for the suggestion And dose the dog up with extra Advocate, poor beastie

Help! Chicken high stepping and walking very slowly.

Thanks everyone for your help! Just updating in case anyone has the same problem: it looks as though it's roundworm 🤢 I dosed her food up with flubenvet two days ago (just in case) and today her poop had a couple of adult worms in. Pic attached is vile. So strange as they have monthly worming...

Help! Chicken high stepping and walking very slowly.

She's still eating and pooping and she feels fairly chunky. I haven't weighed her, but if I take her out of her box she doesn't scratch around or walk much so, as you say, it's glaringly obvious something is wrong with her. And she hasn't laid in 4 days now. Poor thing

Brilliant, thank you again. How long did it take for you to see an improvement for your hens with coconut and permethrin?

Help! Chicken high stepping and walking very slowly.

Thank you! That's really helpful. She's ok, fast asleep in her box at the moment. Eating and drinking ok and pooping (with a lot of white in it?) but not laying. I took her outside for a scratch today away from the other girls and she was still very ginger on her feet. I'll do some research...

Help! Chicken high stepping and walking very slowly.

Thank you! Possible stupid question: are the online photos of scaly leg mites and gout worse than it might be for her??? Compared to those she's fine but there is a small swelling on two of her knuckles

Help! Chicken high stepping and walking very slowly.

I've just returned from holiday (neighbours fed and changed bedding etc) to find one of my hens standing separate from the other 3 in the flock. She is walking very slowly, and pulling each foot up to her tummy with every step she takes, almost like she's riding a bicycle. She is reluctant to...
