    Yes there is a 2foot apron all the way around the whole unit I just covered it with mulch for appearance. I have tarps but the coop is waterproof are you thinking for the run?

    Thank you! In terms of ventilation I hope so. The openings at the top of the roof are both just enclosed with hardware cloth plus there is still a lot of ventilation in the wall slats. I closed them enough that predators can’t get in but air can. I’m going to keep a close eye on the temp come...

    Thanks! It has been a TON of work but I’m proud of it. A few things need to be added before it’s ready for hens but its about 99% there. It’s a good feeling to save such beautiful cedar wood that would have likely otherwise been disposed.
