Thank you so much for your thorough response. I very much appreciate it. So am I correct in understanding that the sick hen will basically never fully recover? I have read that they will most likely not lay anymore. Is it incurable? I wonder if I should see if the vet will prescribe Baytril...- gosneka

How do I know when a chicken is healthy or recovered enough to re join the flock? I have two chickens inside who have been recovering: one from an injury and the other lash egg.
