That’s what I thought 😭 but the yellow one, second to last, looks like a pullet with the coloring, it’s a wheaten maran and they are generally pretty easy to sex early on based on color. So seeing the pink waddles made me a little more hopeful of the others.
I’m attaching 2 photos of each that has waddles coming through. Could any of these be pullets? Almost 4 weeks old. Have you had a young pullet with pink waddles?
This was chick #1 in the first photos? I have a 3 week old and I’ve heard the lacing pattern shows up less messy on the pullets. Wanted to see your before and after photos
Hi, I’m looking for a breeder who produces quality chicks that are vaccinated that produce dark beautiful eggs. I live in northern CA, but open to shipping. Thanks!
Almost 8 weeks old. It was the runt of the babies, so I think it’s slower to develop. It’s the same coloring of one of its siblings, but smaller comb. I still suspect roo. Mom is a bantam Cochin, dad is turken/crested cream legbar.
Hi, this little one is 6 weeks. Mom is partridge bantam Cochin, dad is a mix with backed neck and crested cream legbar. Any guesses on the gender? The sibling that has same coloring but no naked neck has a bigger comb and I’m confident that one is a cockerel. But this one I’m on the fence.
They are 3 weeks now. The wing pattern on the yellow one is the same as my naked neck, whose father is necked neck/ crested cream leg bar with the Cochin mom. So I’m assuming this yellow one either has the same dad or the pure CCL with the Cochin hen. Which leaves the black one to be a Silverudd...
Anyone want to take a stab at what breeds? They came out of a Silverudd (blue or splash) & Partridge Cochin egg, not sure which one is which.
And The possible roos are:
Crested cream legbar, CCL/Naked neck, Silverudd, bahrama or Mille fluer d’uccle.
Hi, I got 2 pullets a few months ago, 1 amber link and 1 isabrown. They were not together when I bought them, but have gotten along since day 1, no issues. Now I’m trying to introduce 5 chicks (8-9 week old). The isabrown is super mellow and doesn’t care about the chicks. The amberlink is a...
Hi, I’m curious if either of my little Batams are roosters. It may be too early to tell. They are a little more than 7 weeks old. Thank believe the frizzle is a silkie mix and the smooth is a silkie Cochin mix. Both are pretty timid.
Hello, I’ve read lots of thread here and decided to finally sign up! I’m a new chicken owner and loving it. I have 2 egg layer hybrids and 5 8 week old chicks of different breeds. Already wanting more!
