Thank you! :)
I'll keep an eye on my flock to make sure all is ok, I also have a separate coop and run if he gets too much lol. I've noticed he can get a bit randy in the water occasionally lol must be a duck thing
Hey everyone,
I currently have 3 indian runner ducks, one of which has turned out to be a male. I'm struggling to re-home him sadly.
So, can a drake live happily with 2 female ducks? I just don't want him to try mate with my chooks.
Thanks! :)
Hello everyone!
I will be a first time chicken grandma this weekend! My silkie will be hatching 4 runner duck eggs.
My question is, she is brooding in the nesting box which is about 1 foot off the ground inside the coop, how would the baby ducklings get back into the nesting box with mum once...
My Silkie went broody last Sunday. I have finally managed to find some Indian Runner Duck eggs which I have put under her today. Will this incubation period work out? This is my first time trying to hatch. Thanks :)
I have just moved into a new place with a medium sized lawn. I only have 5 chickens and they are always free-range. Will they kill the grass on the whole lawn?
Thanks :)
Thanks so much!
I only have 6 chickens, only 4 in the coop. Still young at 6-7 weeks. And at the moment I fill the coop with pine shavings.
I'd like to turn the cleaned out shavings and poop into compost. So thinking to maybe clean out and replace every month or so?
Hello BYC!
I'm so glad I got into this hobby, however I just want more and more chickens haha! I love being a chook mama.
Just wondering what material you fill your coops with (hay, pine shavings etc)? And also how often you clean the coop out?
Also, is there anything that you wish you knew...
