Thank you!!! I made him a potion with poultry vitamins that contain riboflavin and he and the other are doing a lot better. I also put paper towels down for traction.

Spraddle leg, curly toe, and bubbling!! Help!

Way better today. Somehow he broke his shoe off in the night but his foot isn’t curled up anymore. He can walk very well in this new hobble we made. He seems to be getting much stronger. Still flops around sometimes but he ran at the camera right after this picture and didn’t fall down. I also...

Spraddle leg, curly toe, and bubbling!! Help!

We just received a new chick batch today - they were born yesterday - that included 2 golden sebright bantams. They both had one spraddle leg and one had curly toes. My husband and I made one a sandal and leg brace. And the other got a leg brace. We used surgical tape and teeny tiny bandaids...

    Toe bent backwards

I have the same problem and just made mine a “sandal” about 20 minutes ago. The chick hates it. Not sure if it will work. We traced the foot and out the toes on the index card properly and taped it down with surgical tape.

5 week, 2 day old Partridge Cochin Bantam

Thank you! After googling more about this, I think she is definitely a pullet. She doesn’t look like a rooster at all feather pattern wise! :)

Sooooo…. Pullet or cockerel? I really want this one to be a pullet. It’s so sweet and quiet and well behaved. None of the other chickens bother it. I’ve been thinking it’s a she… but the wattle made me wonder. It’s not 100 percent fully feathered on the chest yet.

What do you guys think? Cockerel or Pullet? It’s only 3 weeks and 2 days old and very nice and quiet.
