All of my girls molted months ago and everyone’s feathers have grown back, except this one.
Is this normal? I’ve increased the protein in their feed. She seems to be eating/pooping/drinking fine, but does hang out in the coop more. She does come out for treats. It does look like more feathers...
Can this happen?? I had started noticing these tiny mite looking bugs on me after I’d go out to the coop. It would be one or 2 and I’d just kill them and didn’t think anything of it. I think I saw maybe 1 on my girls and thought it was just a random bug.
But now, my husband and I are getting...
Before you replied, I dissolved it in water and syringed it to her. I put her back in the cage with water and some treats/food and a fan.
I just went back to check on her and she seems to have perked up a bit. Was pecking at the food. More alert, but still pale.
I haven’t dealt with a...
This is her. Ok, i felt her underbelly and it feels squishy, like maybe an egg is stuck? I felt one of my other girls and it definitely feels different
Is this one ok? Whats the dosing? Do you think that’s what’s wrong with her or something else? I let them out to free range and she came out of her cage but she’s just standing there :(
Ok, so I haven’t officially, meaning I’ve out ACV in their water and DE in their food. I did just purchase a natural chicken dewormer in the form of a tablet and put it in their water. It does say I can put it down their beak. Should I try that?
I’m pretty sure she is, but I can’t imagine that’s causing her to become pale and not really moving, right? The others are molting as well, but not acting the same. It’s just odd how one day she becomes pale and acts like she doesn’t feel well, then the next day her color comes back and she’s...
She’s about a year and a half. Their feed is Dumor Organic Layer feed. I also mix in some supplements but have been doing so prior to now. Crop feels fine. Don’t see any mites. She was consistently laying but hasn’t lately, but they are also molting. She does have a spot on each wing that has...
I have a legbar I’ve been treating for humblefoot for a couple months now. It’s getting better but still working on it.
2 days ago, I cleaned her feet and wrapped them but later that day, she started to act off. Her comb and face were pale and she was just sitting under a bush not moving. I put...
It’s not swollen. It looks normal so hopefully healing.
She keeps kind of looking down at them and then slowly lifting each one up. Maybe I need to mount an antibiotic in it? I’ve just really been using the prid right now
Just dissolve a pill in water and syringe feed? I’m in NC so it’s definitely chillier in the AM (and shade where they are) but I figured it felt good to them 🤷🏻♀️
She has BF in both feet. I’ve attached a pic of one of her feet. Does this look healed? You can almost barely see the scab. The...
So that crossed my mind when she seemed a little more “growly” this morning. I’ve only dealt with one broody girl before and it was immediate and noticeable. I haven’t seen her gather any eggs (although laying is low right now) and the only time she spends in the coop with the nesting boxes is...
One of my legbars has seemed a bit off the last couple of weeks. Lots of sunbathing and less mobile. I just let it ride since she was still eating, drinking and pooping. And as a side note, I’ve been treating her for bumblefoot for a couple of months now.
The last 2 days she’s been a bit...
Yuck! Why is it so stringy and attached to the foot? I feel like I watch these videos where people easily push out puss, but I tug on what you see on the pictures and it feels like it’s part of the foot and won’t come out
