11 Week Old Easter Egger Gender and Roost Behavior

Hey yall we've had chickens for a few years now and we're not sure on this one. We have this 11 week old Easter Egger "pullet" that has a comb/face much redder than the rest of the 8 younger chickens in her flock or of other chickens we have raised in the past. We have a separate small coop and...

Are these ladies ready to move out of the house?

I'm glad you say that. I was curious if the other jersey was a rooster because of the comb and more upright tail feathers.

Are these ladies ready to move out of the house?

Hey all, My wife and I have 3 chicks. One ISA Brown and 2 Jersey Giants. We got them from tractor supply a little over 5 weeks ago. We were wondering if they are ready to go in the coop. We were not sure how old they were when we got them but they were small chicks. I will post a couple pictures...

3 week old baby chick, puffed feathers, head pulled in, lethargic, slight drool, runny poops, growth stunted.

We lost her on day 6. We tried everything we could. She ate the full teaspoon of coconut oil. And we treated the whole flock with corid for 5 days. The other 3 chicks are doing fantastic. Thanks again for your help. Now we know more and are better equipped to deal with this in the future.

3 week old baby chick, puffed feathers, head pulled in, lethargic, slight drool, runny poops, growth stunted.

That makes perfect sense to me. Thank you! I just fed her a teaspoon of coconut oil. She ate half of it easily then I started to feel her crop after feeling her crop she became more lethargic so I'm going to give her a few minutes and get her to eat the rest

Her vent looks like all the other chicks. Pasty butt was the only ailment I was told and looking for at the start haha

3 week old baby chick, puffed feathers, head pulled in, lethargic, slight drool, runny poops, growth stunted.

I use the coarse/big pine shavings. It mostly feels like a wad of chick starter but I'm new to this and not positive. I've opened her beak to administer the water/olive oil and didn't notice it. I'm going to try the coconut oil this evening and I'll check her beak when I do this.

3 week old baby chick, puffed feathers, head pulled in, lethargic, slight drool, runny poops, growth stunted.

I will try this tonight. I thought the diarrhea/runny poops would eliminate constipation.

Hey All please help, My wife and I are first time chicken owners. We have four 3 week old chicks. 4 days ago one of the chicks started closing her eyes, staying closer to the heat lamp, eating/drinking less and acting lethargic. 3 days ago she developed what seems to be a drool/mucus that...

Sick 3 week old ISA Brown (slightly drooling/lethargic)

We have 4 chickens in our brooder. 3 days ago our ISA brown jumped and hit the screen at the top of the brooder fairly hard (screens 20 inches or so high). After she hit it she started acting lethargic. She isn't wobbly yet but she closes her eyes often while typically standing upright. 2 days...
