for those of you with prairie bluebell eggers - at what age did the begin to lay? Mine are currently 5 months and 1 week old and still waiting. Just curious of other experience
I know this has been discussed. But just to be certain - there is no egg withdrawal with corrid, correct? I am doing 3/4-1 Tsp per gallon of water for 5 days. Thanks in advance.
I know this was a while ago but do you still have your Leonard coop? I have this exact one on order and it will be here next week.
I would like to build the run this weekend but I’m in need of a couple height measurements if you could help me out it would be a massive help!
Unfortunately I don’t. I’m waiting on my bigger coop to arrive so only have a 4x4 coop and 8’ run right now. However my 10 week old chickens free range basically all day. I let them out around 8am and then they put themselves back in the coop at 8pm ish and then I lock the coop up. So honestly...
I have seven 10 week old pullets (light Brahma, barred rock, and prairie bluebell eggers) and one that turned out to be a rooster in the coop.
I have 5 chicks in the brooder that are 4 weeks and 6 weeks old. When would be a good time to introduce them. They are getting big and outgrowing the...
Good morning!
I read somewhere that stated males have black feathers and females have brown? I purchased as a pullet of course and I’m praying she is. I’ve been wanting a salmon for a while now so finger crossed. Can get more pics as well. Was in a rush this morning to get off to work
The one in the first pic has me slightly worried as it’s comb and waddle seem a little more red I color….the anticipation sucks haha I can’t have roosters where I live and I already know I have one. I would hate for one of my brahmas to be a cockerel cause they are an awesome breed and so nice.
I’m really hoping they are pullets. They are my oldest ones so I’m excited for eggs! Would be pretty bummed if they turn out to be cockerels….. here is some more pics
Another photo. My barred rock in the pick is the same age and his comb and waddle developed really early. I need to rehome him. Brahma I read develop slower tho
I really hope not lol. I will post some more photos here shortly of their combs and the neck feathers I believe some are able to identify them by feathers as well
