    Maybe, only thing is if you look at the first picture, is when I first noticed the strange raised bump. And now it's moved down her neck and is ugly red and irritated.

    I would say they are probably scared because you changed the environment. Mine get scared when I turn their light off for only a moment. When I turn it back on they seem to quite again.
