14 silver laced wyandottes, 14 cuckoo marans, 2 white leghorns, 5 plymouth rocks (4 barred and a white), 2 white silkies, 3 black bantam cochins, 3 australorps, 1 New hampshire red and a delaware pullet. So 45 chickens and Four campbell ducks and 6 geese ( 2 chinese white and 4 toulouse).
In order to answer your question some information on your chickens is needed like what breed(s) are they and could you tell us their age. Also you mentioned you were feeding laying mash, which, as I understand it, mash is fed to babies or teeny-tinys when their throats are too small to swallow...
