Hey, I am trying to determine the gender of my ducks. I’m pretty sure the Pekin is female and the black and white one is a male, but since I know this can be problematic I was hoping for a second opinion. They are 2 and a half months old now, and they are both a big part of the family now so...
Yes, she is doing great! We ended up taking her to the vet and spending 100 dollars only to find out that she was completely fine! It did give me peace of mind though. As long as they are behaving like normal ducks and acting healthy, I think you should be fine.
She’s breathing fine, and I re-wraped it just be make sure it wasn’t too tight, but nicely in place. I live in Arizona, but it gets BRUTAL during the summertime.
I did, but she got it right off. So far the new wrap is holding up, but I have to bring them inside for now since it’s 110 degrees here and I’m not comfortable leaving outside without a pool to swim in. How can I tell if it is cutting off circulation?
Hey, can anyone tell me if this is Angel Wing? Here are some pictures of my 7 week old duck. I just noticed this recently, if it is angel wing what can I do? Thanks
I might try to do that, but how long should I wait before they can be together. She definitely needs to get bigger as she fits in the palm of my hand currently but how many weeks is enough as I would like to keep them together as soon as possible, I’d hate for the new duckling to get too lonely
My dilemma is, I know ducklings shouldn’t be alone so im trying to figure out the right next move. Maybe I could put her with the bigger ducklings but separated where they could see each other and interact without having to worry about fighting. Thoughts?
Hey, so I found an abandoned duckling at dinner tonight. She still has her egg tooth and is absolutely tiny! We looked everywhere for her mother but it was dark outside and she was nowhere to be found. We found the duckling when we decided
to for a walk and could hear her chirping, we looked...
Hi, I have a two week old Ancona duckling that is panting and sneezing. She seems ok while in the brooder though. This is my first time raising ducks so I’m not sure if I’m being overprotective but it just doesn’t seem right. He/She is still eating and drinking and acting like a normal duck...
