Hey all! This chick was purchased as a pullet. She is 3/4 weeks old, but is looking a bit dark. All the pictures I see online, the pullets are much lighter. Is she giving roo vibes?

Thank you! I had a feeling they both were. At what age can you really tell with temperaments? I’ve heard they go through a spell sometimes. This is our first year with a rooster, too.

Fingers crossed we have one of each! That would be amazing! They are beautiful. I didn’t know a whole lot about them when I got them, as far as quality. But for that price, that’s not much more than we paid for the rest of our flock when they were chicks, and they are common breeds.
My son had been begging for one, and I actually found these in a local FB group for $10. I knew it was a risk getting two roosters, but we wanted one rooster anyways. So I think it’s still a win. Their color are so pretty in the sun.
