My chicks didn’t like getting close to me until they got about 4-5 weeks old and the odd thing that seemed to entice them was some live bugs I gathered from outside (small worms and Rollie pollies, nothing dangerous) then they started trusting me more and what helped me to pick mine up was do it...
Look how cute!! They look adorable, oh wow how do they do out there with it being so hot? I bet it’s super cute to see them all muddy haha
I caught the rooster having a bath, excuse my messy brooder, I’m still adding the finishing touches to their coop so they haven’t gone outside just yet...
Aww thank you, I’m not too disappointed though he’s a sweet one and hopefully he stays that way, I should be able to keep him luckily I think it’s my other rooster I’ll have to do something with 😬
He definitely has some mighty fluffy pants for sure not a jersey, and I wasn’t sure if a partridge could have so little of the coloring that’s where I had my doubts. Thank you so much for helping me :celebrateI’m happy to finally know what he is.
Oh wow, I looked up the jersey giants and they do look a lot alike! Seems like I may just have a little roo too, at least he’s a sweetie. Thank you and good luck with your chicks! :jumpy
