I wouldn’t have recommended using chicks from the same season for breeding, chances are they’re all related. Inbred flocks are an issue and unwanted in future breeding lines.
Ducks NEED niacin in their diet, and chicken feed doesn’t have enough for ducks. If you’re giving them duck feed I’m not sure what the issue is. (p.s. it’s possible to overdose ducks on niacin)
