I got these girls from a local hatchery and I’m not convinced they are BR’s. They are black & yellow…see pics below for reference of them with some RIR & Buffs. They are now 1.5 months old. Guesses??

Does anyone know about eating eggs after a Hen has been bitten?? Any insights?

I’ve got RIR and they aren’t jerks at all. Everyone always poo poos on RIR but my girls are the best. They all have personality and even my 2 young boys get along with them very well. Don’t count RIR’s out, just get them use to you - just like you would other birds and they will be loyal like...

So you’re suggesting I use an all flock crumble for everyone and also have some oyster shells/grit/fresh water as well?

Hey friends! One of my hens finally started laying and I want to change her feed but the remainder of my flock isn’t laying yet. Soooooo what do I do about her food?? Keep feeding her chick feed? I have 2 seven month girls and 11 - 3 month old girls & 1 mighty roosty. Thanks!
