I have five black star chickens and all are the same exact age. I do not have a rooster. Only one hen has big patches of feathers missing. Is this moulting? I live in south Louisiana and it is still on the hot side here.

My 6 Black Star hens I believe were hatched at the same time and purchased from the local co op. The are 19 wks and 4 days old. Only one is on her third egg. When should I expect the other five to start.

I have six Black Star chicks who are 16 weeks old. No spurs growing and no black/white feathering on any of them. When they were less that a week olr. I chose the babies that had not spots on head. Do I have pullets or cockrels?
