Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

It's a wooden floor, there is only concrete in the very corners to keep out predators but they don't walk on it, it is mostly under the wood. I have an order in for wood chips but it hasn't shown up yet. I will move the roosting bars.

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

I'm reading about ventilation and it seems that I could put in vents. The walls are metal so I am trying to figure out how I can do that. It has to be simple, my husband might leave me over the chickens, lol. Anyone have ideas? I'll keep reading, in the meantime.

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

I added 2 feeders and a place for the chickens to hide, at least temporarily. Will need to come up with a permanent solution. They all ran to the new feeder in the hiding spot so I don't know if that will help those lower on the pecking order but I will have to refill when they are in the coop...

She is very particular about where people can go and has you wear booties over your shoes. I have seen the flock through, not all up close and the cleanliness of the barns. She is very careful but my point was that I have seen where the birds come from unlike ordering them mail order.

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

There is a lot of space in the coop. It was originally built for 25 birds. I have had other chicken people check the size to see what we can fit. We only have 11 right now. They are only in the coop at night and let out early in the morning. It was used for chickens for years before we moved...

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

Waterers are cleaned and filled daily. I just don't use the larger one when it isn't hot but I can start using that one again. Food is fresh every day. I only put out what they can finish. There is very little if any left by the end of the day. I do need to put it in multiple places. Will try...

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

There is some ventilation. They get locked in at night, so not in the open run. There are 3 bars which are over 6 ft each long. I need to spread them out more because somehow they got all pushed together yesterday. There are 11 chickens. I took out the roosting boxes because I was worried that...

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

I guess it isn't that they gobble it all down but I will try this. I meant to say that they are eating and drinking normally and then suddenly they aren't. We feed in the morning and at night and have vegetables and other things to eat in the run each day. The water is always full or at least...

The tall waterer is empty, that is for when it is really hot, I fill it with ice and water. It has only been in the 80s this week.

And the previous owner had chickens in the same location without any disease.

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

We feed them Henhouse Reserve plus veggies from the garden and the weeds/bugs in their run. Our flock primarlily came from a local breeder. There is no disease in her flock, we are the only ones who have had issues and she sells hundreds of chicks. I have been to her farm and know they are well...

Please Help!! No one can figure this out. My flock is in trouble.

We butchered the hens who were doing the bullying. As far as I can see that is not the issue any longer. The hen was eating and running around and active until she wasn't. And there are completely different chickens than last year but still the same issue. But thank you, I am coming up with...

    I'm New Here

I posted in the disease forum. I wish I knew what was going on. My friend whose family has been chicken farming for 5 generations has been trying to help me and she can't figure it out either.

This is long so God bless you if you get to the end. We got laying hens about 2 years ago. Everything was going great until we added chicks. The first batch of chicks went out and then there was a surprise freeze in the middle of May. We lost several. I asked for advice and everyone told me to...

    I'm New Here

I have been reading your forum as an outsider for a couple of years. I finally decided to join because my flock needs a lot of help and no one has been able to help me. I'm just beside myself and need to figure out what the problem is. We live on the northern plains of South Dakota on a small...
