A little late but want to post an update on the chicks. Roo Roo is indeed a hen and I think she’s been giving us some small eggs. She’s very sweet and has blended with the flock. The white one was indeed a rooster and after living a happy life free ranging on the farm is now in the freezer...
Thanks we are thinking that too! I guess I might have to rename the gray one that we now call Roo Roo. Lol. It looks from my photograph history like they are about eight weeks old.
OK, everyone still trying to figure these two out. They were babies that were each abandoned by the mom who was sitting on them. Last time I posted most guesses were both cockerels. Thoughts now?
Thanks all! I posted in the other thread about What Gender and most are guessing 2 Roos. It’s funny I usually don’t get too friendly with a rooster, but the little black one Roo Roo was so pitiful when his mom ran off, that I held him for a few minutes for the first couple days to comfort him...

These 2 are about 5weeks old. Each was a lone chick and Mama ran off and left them. Their are very bonded now. I’m guessing both are cockerels but now the Cuckoo Maran looks a little more like a pullet. Thoughts?
