    No… I considered that but we just spoiled them too much and got too close to them, as they were our first chickens… (have had lots of ducks but they were all females so we didn’t need to worry about culling). My boyfriend and the children were horrified when I even brought it up as an option. 🤣😭

    Thank you!! Honestly, I’m so torn! I love my boys. I wish I was allowed to have more chickens and I’d just buy more pullets. 😭

    Hello! I am from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, and have a backyard that now belongs to my 5 Silkie chickens. I have owned and rehabbed and fostered many ducks in the past, but moved to a neighborhood this year where I’m only allowed chickens. So these are my first chickens! ♥️

    Hello! I bought 5 Silkie chicks last spring and wouldn’t you know that 4/5 are boys. My one little lady is getting her feathers pecked out and the boys are starting to brawl. They were all hatched April 11. The pictures are a few weeks old…they all have big wattles now, and are quite clearly...
