one of my little week-olds has this weird toe thing since i got it a few days ago! is it just poop? should i pull it off? should i give it a little soak and then pull it off? should i let it come off on its own? is there anything else i should be doing?

ETA: bedding is puppy...
maybe switch the bedding to a puppy pee pad with some pine shavings instead of wood chips? i am not an expert but perhaps its little toes are struggling to grip the ground with the wood chips LOL they're so pathetic <3
yaaas!!! i was supposed to get mille fleur bantams last year but the woman who had them had some racoons break into her chicken yard and so we didn't end up getting them :( so sad, as i LOVE mille fleurs! i'm pumped to add those in the future too! gonna look through your posts now so i can see...
after almost 2 years of working on our coop, we finally have it basically finished, and i bit the bullet and got 10 bantam easter eggers for my first ever chickens.
we are thrilled and i'm excited to watch them grow and their feathers come in so i can choose their names <3

it was mentioned they were treated for roundworm and coccydiosis? i wonder if they were being bullied and that's why she wants to give them to us? i think she has decent sized flock. she is giving us medicated feed as well so probably they had some sort of issue.. i'll investigate!
