    that is what we do ... Hubby built a barn this summer/fall - so all coops have a covered run. If we know that we will be gone during the day - we do not let them "free range" but they do go in and out of Coop at will

    I don't KNOW but to me permethrin DUST could not be good for chickens to possibly inhale - I started Ivermectin this season and did not have any trouble with lice or mites. Diatomaceous earth in their dry feed for internal worms. Plus Ivermectin only needs applied once every three months...

    we have SEVERAL roos - I love them. they are protective. Very worth it plus they are so handsome. love on them and they will love you back. they feel your vibes

    the best thing I have found after trying to many options is IVERMECTIN - if it is good enough for humans ... yes, I rub it into my own skin !!

    after trying several ways to get rid of mites, etc - I have found that Ivermectin works the BEST - if it is good enough for human use -it works very well

    Struggling with killing a chicken

    I agree - you HAVE to introduce a new member of the group properly - at night after everyone has 'gone to bed' - roosters WILL establish or challenge the head Roo - always. there ARE ways to get them to "get along" - we have two "runs" with 25 roos, it is more than I like but hatched way too...
