Honestly, having a kid around an already known aggressive rooster is scary. Yes he turned on you one day, but what if he turns on your kid. Drawing blood is absolutely not good for a rooster to be doing. Yes it is his world and his girls, however you are who feeds him and he should not bite the...
Blue Hour Poultry has a ton of modern game pullets and cockerels from last breeding season. A bunch of varieties too. Their adults are around 100 per bird but they are quality birds. They do only ship in the cooler months due to hot temperatures.
My two girls came from Ideal (or Cackle? I forgot what the farm store told us), they are relatively good compared to other places such as Hoovers. Just luck of the draw haha.
(One’s comb got taken off in a freak accident, that’s why she looks bald lol)
Eh, they could be hatchery quality legbars or easter eggers with legbar bases that were bred back to legbars. Most don’t have crests either which even if they were pure legbar, they should have. If you want to breed legbars (I think that’s what you mean by work with), I wouldn’t use these girls.
Could be old age. As a hen ages sometimes her egg color can be a bit funky. What are you feeding? For the poopy butt feathers, I found that trimming them close to the skin (but still leaving some fluff) works well for constant poopy butts
I would say female for this one honestly. I would personally not use her to breed as having that poor of markings as a chick would not be the best genes to keep around in a breeding flock (if you choose to do so). Green has very good markings, very cute boy. The rest are females.
Looking back...
Can you check for mites in their butt fluff? Some kinds of mites prefer to hide out around their vents and not around their upper body. Just because you mentioned the dirty butts and mites love dirty butts.
The one sebright without any color in the comb is a female. The rest are males. The wyandottes are difficult because sometimes they tend to pink up early. But honestly, yeah, that seems to be a lot of boys you have.
Could you possibly get a photo looking straight on at its face? It could be an easter egger because those tend to have some funky patterns. But like the user above me said, it’s super difficult to identify when they are so teeny!
