    I use mushroom compost every year to grow potatoes and I have never had such an abundance using regular compost. Mushroom compost is a game changer

    I always keep barred rocks in rotation. Lovely personalities, very hardy. I also have like my RIR as they are my best foragers (they catch and eat baby snakes) but they are not so hardy in the summer when temps get over 90. I have lost 3 during the past several summers

    Local feed mill chicken feed. Its 18% protien layer feed. I also ferment grains with garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes as a weekly treat. Of course vegi scraps from time to time
