Yes it's only on the surface of the beak and he does free range. He free ranges with his hens but he does also have his brother. They get a long with eachother 95% of the time but sometimes they do have their differences and they did fight while I wasn't home. They're both eating and drinking...
This rooster broke/cracked the top of his beak and I was wondering if it would grow back. I'm not sure how he did it but it doesn't look too deep. The part that worries me the most is the tip of the beak looks really thin and goes straight down, not in a curved way. Does anyone know should I do?
I went to check up on him and it seems like the outer "shell" of whatever he has had came off, he can shut his beak now but it's still there. No bad odor seems to be coming out his beak either. I think whatever's in his mouth has turned more yellow then it was too.
