Brought the camp stove and percolator camp coffee pot in
Brought 4 five gallon water cans and ice melt into the house
Just finishing up laundry.
12 to 18 supposedly of heavy wet snow with 50 mph gusts, guarantee we will lose power.
We started at 31F at 3:30 AM. Cracked 50 at noon and the bees went wild. Still flying strong as I just came in from cutting more pieces for another hive. Now we can wait for the possible 12 to 18 inches of ..............
Don't care, have all we need.
I watched the assembly VID. I see me sailing this down through the swamp in frustration. I call this one, Hives from IKEA. Have to see an extraction VID. For me a BIG NO. :D
Rats! More snow coming. Prediction is accurate, could get 2" or 12" , GFS and EUR are at odds :barnie. I don't care, 50 F tomorrow have some hive part milling to finish than I can finish painting, frames that need assembling. Sanity work.
Pretty slick ain't cha. I think he's on to ya, just like when DW tries to pull the 2 step shuffle on me. On the other hand I'm a pretty good tap dancer me own self. :lau
No chance here of taking the tops completely off, mid 40s maybe and more snow Sunday night into Monday morning. Just wonderful! I'm starting to get a little envious of you folks that are getting into the boxes. :D
3 years ago while visiting an apiary and picking up supplies keeper said and showed us the receipt, he just paid $600 for two queens here in Jersey. He is heavy into breeding and genetics.
Ours really not using the blocks, just using the feeder vent for an exit. Also decided against the banana. Don't want that black gooey mess in the hive. Maybe another 2 wks before pollen patties. Can only lift the top cover for a quick look. Still cold here.
